Dr. Karl Hubach graduated from George Washington Medical School in 1990 and moved to Murrells Inlet in 1996. He has trained with internationally known Phlebology experts and has dedicated himself to the comprehensive study of Phlebology and the treatment of venous disease for more than 20 years.
Because there have been so many advancements in this area of medicine, the American Medical Association now recognizes this area of medicine as a new specialty field called, Phlebology.
In May 2008, by meeting extensive prerequisite qualifications and successfully passing a written examination, Dr Hubach was among the first 248 physicians in the country to become Board Certified in Phlebology.
Dr. Hubach has had the pleasure to write for textbooks and magazines, and to lecture on venous disease and the current treatment options. He is Board Certified in Phlebology, a Fellow of the American College of Phlebology (FACPh), is a certified Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS). He is a subject matter expert for the oversight of the RPhS exam. Dr. Hubach is excited about being a part of this specialty field of medicine and being able to offer the latest in diagnosis and treatment of venous disease.
